Clinical Study: Laser Therapy Controls Osteoarthritis Knee Pain

Joseph Coupal - Sunday, March 17, 2019

This blog post brings great news to those of you suffering knee pain, specifically “knee osteoarthritis” or “KO”.

Most of you are aware that for years now we’ve treated patients suffering countless forms of knee pain. One of the most prevalent sources of our patient’s knee pain is knee osteoarthritis. Among the various chiropractic techniques that we employ to treat knee pain is the use of MLS Cold Laser Therapy. Now, we thought we’d share with you the extremely promising results of recent clinical research involving laser treatment of KO.

The research we share with you today was conducted by The Agency for Recovery and Rehabilitation, AOU Careggi, Florence Italy. To us, it is always reassuring to read the results of new studies that continue to clinically validate the promise that chiropractic laser therapy can bring to those of you suffering from chronic knee pain.

You can read the entire study here, but here are the key takeaways from the study:

  • High Intensity Laser Therapy seems to be very effective in pain and function control in patients with KO due to its high intensity and to the depth reached by the laser ray.
  • Laser therapy confirms to be a good non-pharmacological instrument for rapid pain control in KO.
  • Important effects are achievable with few sessions of HILT treatment.
  • Laser therapy provides consequential improvement in KO patient’s quality of life.

Relief of your knee osteoarthritis pain starts with a simple phone call, and in some cases, within your very first treatment.
